Or, you can just call it how I avoid having to update this constantly, by doing a weekly review of things that happened to me.
Feb 1: …Absolutely nothing happened. Oh! I’m mistaken; I did get my Internet back up to full speed, being the start of a new month. Apart from that: sitting at home, playing some games, dreading Wednesday.
Feb 2: …Abso-erm, well I suppose more things did happen then yesterday. Went to work, for starters. Also found out that my new housemate owns the first four Guitar Hero games. Now I’m not only intent on 5-starring Hot For Teacher on Expert, but Fire and Flames as well. *deadpan*Woo…hoo.*deadpan*
Feb 3: Oh, dear. Well, today was the start of my games programming course. For the next two years excluding school holiday periods, I now have no Thursday, no Friday, and even though Wednesday is only a half day, by the time I wake up then, it takes me all of my time to get my stuff together for Wednesday and that day’s out the window as well.
The first day went about as well as I expected it. Despite having 4 hours to get work done with, introductions and OH/S that, for reasons I won’t bother explaining, had to be done twice, we only really got through the first topic of work.
Feb 4: I had forgotten what it was like to wake up and actually leave the house at 8:00. …Traffic kinda sucks at that time; what, do people all have to start work at the same time or something?
They did a great job of pacing the course, as far as I see currently. All the students are smart enough, and with a programming mind, so we only need to run through about three exercises once we’ve gone through the presentation before it’s just about engraved. Least, that’s how it goes for me.
Feb 5: Woke up at 9:00 today. …Course starts at 9… Well, despite how long it takes me to get to the absolute other side of the entire town/city/area, as long as they’re notified of your lateness or absence, it’s relatively okay.
Since we programmers don’t have to interact with those *filthy* artists until the second year, we don’t bother with making windowed programs for now. Instead, we make console applications. What is the console? You know; that little black window that usually shows a lot of odd computer language stuff? Anyway, it only deals in black text, so it’s pretty easy to work with.
To keep things short, I’ll just say that between the server that had all the lessons on it going down for half of the afternoon, it raining heavily on the way home, and the evening being a blur from eating three pieces — two more pieces than most got, and one more piece than everyone, because it was the very last piece — of a 40th anniversary cake that was so rich and so sugary from the icing that you wouldn’t believe it’s store-bought, Friday was, and probably will continue to be, a bit of a ‘Wahey!’ time.
Well, it appears our reflection time is over. I hope this session has encouraged your growth, and that you will continue to train hard, my student.
Regards,
≈Roy

Seems like you had some busy days. Actually, Mom goes to work at 7:00 since it takes her about an hour to get from Knoxville to Kingston Pike, and Dad has to leave at 8:30 since it takes about a half hour to get from Knoxville to Andersonville. And since I go to school in Andersonville, it sucks in the morning getting up and leaving home at 6:50, hopefully earlier. Anytime we leave past 7, I’m late.
So is your job working with computers, or am I getting mixed up with this?

You’re getting a little mixed up with this.
I’m in an advanced diploma course that runs over the next two years. It’ll become a degree when I continue in the third and fourth years.
